Why Management?

Dedicated Crew
Every management client is paired with a dedicated Boat Manager; a role that takes on every task that isn’t enjoyment of the vessel. They encompass the traditional roles of Chief Officer, Bosun, Engineer, and some components of Captain.
In turn, they are supported by Yacht Appearance Specialists (YAS), dedicated professionals who encompass the role of Deckhand and Steward. YAS are responsible for not only for cleaning, vacuuming, teak maintenance and stainless polishing, but also report to the boat manager any signs of damage, leakage, or dirt that indicates an issue on board.
This chain of communication means multiple eyes are on your boat at all times, and repair work is proactive instead of reactive. And if an emergency does arise, our partnerships offer priority repair service ensuring that the problem is solved in the shortest time frame possible.
It takes a team to keep on top of a boat, and it takes a captain to lead that team to ensure it happens. Let us spend our time keeping your boat in the best condition possible condition so you can spend your time doing what you do best: enjoying it.

At Cost Project Management
As part of the general upkeep onboard a yacht, there are several maintenance tasks that need to get by specialized 3rd party service providers. Some examples include bottom cleaning and paint, gelcoat polishing and restoration, engine and driveline servicing, or dry cleaning.
Depending on the age of the vessel, refits and equipment updates also come up.
Von Lessing Boat Managers are trained to not only coordinate these services for you, but go several steps further. Managers can gather several estimates from qualified, insured service providers to get the best competitive pricing while ensuring work is completed on time and on schedule. They can build comparison spreadsheets and gather knowledge on different systems to evaluate the best equipment selection based not only on price, but functionality, service availability, long term value. They have the ability to negotiate, plan, and compare so that the owner has all the information at their fingers tips.
All of this with no mark up, no kickback, and ensuring any discounts offered to the Boat Manager are passed on to the owner.
